Schools and Libraries Can Apply for Federal Connectivity Fund

The application period is now open for schools and libraries to seek funds from the $7.17 billion fund dedicated to helping with technology and internet access. The deadline to apply is August 13.

Schools and libraries can now apply for funds to cover the cost of “laptop and tablet computers; Wi-Fi hotspots; modems; routers; and broadband connectivity purchases for off-campus use by students, school staff, and library patrons.” The FCC’s $7.17 billion Emergency Connectivity Fund is part of the American Rescue Plan Act.

Applications must be submitted by August 13. See below for details on who is eligible and how to apply.
