Georgia middle school library media specialist Kathy Schmidt created a basic tutorial and some practical tips for Flipgrid.
The school closures in response to the novel coronavirus pandemic have left educators scrambling to use technology in the most productive ways. Many school librarians were already on the cutting edge of edtech and particular platforms, but others are being thrown into the mix without much background knowledge. For those trying to catch up but intimidated by the company tutorials or unable to make the connection from the platform to effective application, SLJ asked a few librarians from around the country to help.
Kathy Schmidt, library media specialist at Coleman Middle School in Duluth, GA, offers a tutorial on the basics of Flipgrid, plus a second video with specific tips for school librarians to use the platform most effectively.
