Every year, the National Council of Teachers of English Excellence in Poetry for Children Award Committee sits down with the poetry books published in the preceding year and chooses the cream of the crop. This year, the committee selected 19 titles for a wide range of age groups in a variety of formats and styles. We are happy to publish this list and hope that you will find the PDF of the piece useful to share with your educators, parents, and students. Just in time for National Poetry Month, here is the 2016 Notable Poetry List.
