Exclusive Excerpt of "The Baby-Sitters Club" Graphic Novel 'Jessi's Secret Language'

SLJ shares an exclusive excerpt of the first chapter of 'Jessi's Secret Language' (The Baby-sitters Club Graphic Novel, Bk. 12), adapted and illustrated by Chan Chau.

The 12th and latest title in the series to receive the treatment by Scholastic's Graphix imprint is Jessi's Secret Language, adapted and illustrated by Eisner-nominated artist Chan Chau.

In the book, BSC junior officer Jessi Ramsey begins babysitting Matt Braddock, who is Deaf. He uses sign language, and Jessi learns it as well. A talented ballerina, Jessi is also preparing for an upcoming recital and working on a special surprise for Matt.
