Wait outside the bakery.") and decide to go inside the school. The four canines embark on quite an adventure as they discover lunch before being chased by the janitor through the gymnasium, music room, and art room. Their journey ends with a trip to the principal's office. This dog's-eye view of a day at school will leave readers laughing with delight. The acrylic illustrations are colorful and detailed.
VERDICT Stanley fans will enjoy the latest escapade in the series.

In his sixth adventure, dog Stanley rounds up his pals to discover what school is all about and why the kids go there every day. And in the pooch-created chaos, Stanley realizes they go to school "to eat and run." Predictable plot turns won't separate this one from the pack, but Stanley's fans will enjoy his antics, enlivened in textured acrylics.
