Gr 4–6—En route to Dublin for a public appearance at an eco-summit, Tony Stark spots an anomaly on a small island off the coast of Ireland. Armed with nothing but his party suit, Tony is taken by surprise by an old enemy. Alone, without weapons or hope that S.H.I.E.L.D. will find him, can Tony conquer his past? Narrator Ari Fliakos creates unique voices and intonations. The characters are well-developed and true to their Marvel origins. Colfer adds complex layers and twists to the plot while drawing listeners into Tony's world. The story is fast-paced and action-packed. Together, Colfer and Fliakos have produced a wonderful audiobook that is impossible to stop listening to.
VERDICT This is a great listen for any Marvel, superhero, adventure, or Colfer fan. ["A solid addition to larger collections where Marvel fans abound": SLJ 9/16 review of the Marvel book.]
