A panel of school librarians talks about creative and effective ways to use virtual meeting tools with students as remote learning continues.
The school closures in response to the novel coronavirus pandemic left educators scrambling to use technology in the most productive ways. Many school librarians were already on the cutting edge of edtech and particular platforms, but others are being thrown into the mix without much background knowledge.
For those trying to catch up but intimidated by the company tutorials or unable to make the connection from the platform to effective application, SLJ asked a few librarians from around the country to help.
Nikki Robertson and Ashley Cooksey led a panel discussion with fellow school librarians Amanda Jones, Jillian Ehlers, Penny Feeney, and Brian Johnson about how to use virtual meeting tools video call platforms like Zoom creatively and effectively with students.
