Every year, the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Excellence in Poetry for Children Award Committee carefully evaluates all of the poetry books for children published in the preceding year and chooses the very best. This year, the committee selected 19 titles for a wide range of age groups in a variety of formats and styles.
