Featuring the most up-to-date information, multimedia add-ons, and a host of other highlights, electronic resources are a must-have in any school library. Despite these advantages, many students and teachers are unaware of the benefits of these robust materials, preferring print books or search engines when it comes to research. For librarians, knowledge of e-resources is crucial—both for developing 21st-century skills in today’s students and for ensuring that other educators have the tools that they need.

SLJ’s latest webcast will spotlight new and up-and-coming e-resources. Librarians and teachers from across the country who work with Capstone’s PebbleGo databases and Capstone Interactive eBooks and Rosen Digital & Scholastic Library Publishing will discuss how they incorporate these resources in order to drive student achievement. The webcast will spotlight new and up-and-coming e-resources that librarians and educators can use to:

• Strengthen information literacy
• Reinforce and develop research skills
• Foster critical thinking
• Emphasize the importance of citing research
• Present content to students with different learning styles
