Relais International announced that the New Brunswick Public Library Service (NBPLS), Canada, has selected Relais as its interlibrary loan (ILL) management and document delivery system. Relais ILL will allow NBPLS staff to manage the resource sharing for all the provincial public libraries in New Brunswick. The system will be hosted by NBPLS at its offices in Fredericton. The system will include the Relais Access web-based pages so patrons can create and monitor their own ILL requests in the official language of their choice (French or English). The system includes the fully integrated Relais Scanning Module. NBPLS provides access to a provincial collection of more than 1.8 million items.
Credo Reference and EBSCO Publishing have partnered for a custom linking agreement. Mutual customers of both vendors are now able to expand their searches and link from one resource to the other. The linking agreement will allow users to start a search in Credo Reference and continue it in EBSCOhost. Credo’s content is available through EBSCOhost CustomLinks™, a library of linking resources that lets libraries link to full-text databases, OPACS, ILL systems, free resources, and search engines. EBSCO’s deep linking library is also able to create a variety of CustomLinks for use with EBSCOhost databases upon request. Credo Reference will provide access to EBSCOhost content through its Resource Links technology.
Swets has expanded its partnership with BCR, the oldest and most established multistate library cooperative in the United States, for 2009, with additional products from the SwetsWise portfolio that can now be purchased through BCR. “We are very pleased to develop our relationship with Swets beyond ScholaryStats to offer other useful and innovative products at a better cost to our member libraries,” said Gillian Harrison, BCR director of marketing and outreach.

Serials Solutions is offering enhanced Full-Text and Peer Review features for the Serials Solutions® 360 Search federated search service. Via a combination of data supplied by the Serials Solutions KnowledgeWorks knowledgebase and the Ulrich’s™ Global Serials Intelligence knowledgebase, these search filters let users limit the results of queries to full-text or peer-reviewed sources more reliably than ever before. “Until now, there hasn’t been a single full-text or peer review filter on the market that researchers could trust,” said Steve DiStasio, senior product manager at Serials Solutions. “We’ve enhanced the 360 Search filter with better data for better results.” This new functionality is provided free to all 360 Search subscribers. Libraries not already using the full-text and peer review functionality should contact Serials Solutions.
