From SLJ March 2005

Maren Ostergard, Bellevue Regional Library, King County (WA) Library System -- School Library Journal, 03/21/2005

1 CD. approx. 43 min. Prod. by Bumble Bee Records. Dist. by CDbaby.com. 2004. $14.

PreS-Gr 2–Featuring 11 original tunes, this fun CD is outstanding. This is the third release for Brady Rymer, whose previous solo works include Good Morning, Gus and Look at My Belly. Rymer’s lively and energetic vocals are clever and fun. He’s accompanied by a rich sounding orchestra featuring drums, guitar, saxophones, and more. The delightful lyrics that children and parents are sure to enjoy are the highlight of the collection. In “Cookin’ Saturday,” Rymer sings about making breakfast with his mama. Especially silly is “Bathtub Soup,” where he sings about an assortment of objects to put in the bathtub, such as a rubber ducky, sponges, boats, dolphins, sharks, jellyfish, and a lobster. Among the other tunes are “Drawing on the Sidewalk, “I’m a Little Raindrop,” “Under the Bed,” “Eatin’ Animal Crackers,” “One Little Letter,” “Ding Dong,” “Hey, Mr. Moonlight,” “Turn the World Around,” and the title song. Listeners will enjoy the lively rhythm and have fun dancing along to the rock ‘n roll beat. This delightful collection is a must have for public libraries.
