Based on Allan Stratton’s novel, Chanda’s Secrets (Annick Press, 2004), a Printz Honor Book, the feature film Life Above All was named an official selection of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival and had its premier on May 23. This gripping film tells the story of a courageous 16-year-old South-African girl whose family and community are threatened by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
