SLJ Leadership Summit 2010: One Year Later at Cushing Academy

Cushing Academy, a grade 9-12 boarding school outside Boston, decided last year to shed most of its library's 20,000-volume print collection for digital, sparking a firestorm of controversy in the process. SLJ invited Tom Corbett, executive director of Cushing's Fisher-Watkins Library, to SLJ's 2010 Leadership Summit, held October 22-23, where he addressed some misconceptions about the move and brought us up to date on the library's ongoing transformation.
