WHO SHOULD VIEW SLJ’s DAY OF DIALOG?
SLJ Day of Dialog is designed for librarians, educators, and library students. But for the first time, we opened livestream access to anyone interested in the latest trends and inside scoop on the hottest books in the world of children’s and young adult literature.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SLJ and LJ DAY OF DIALOG?
SLJ‘s Day of Dialog focuses on the authors, editors, librarians, and publishers from the world of YA and Children’s literature whereas LJ‘s Day of Dialog brings together authors, editors, librarians, and publishers from the world of adult literature.

How much does it cost to purchase livestream & video archive access?

Livestream Single Ticket (online access only): $69.00
Video Archive Access (online access only): $49.00

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY REGISTRATION FEE?
You will be able to view every single author presentation and panel, as well as the announcement of the 2017 Boston Globe-Horn Book Award Winners. The Day of Dialog livestream content will also be available to view at your convenience until July 31, 2017.

HOW DO I ACCESS THE LIVESTREAM & VIDEO ARCHIVE?
After you have registered for the livestream or video archive, you will receive an email containing an access link and password from Eventbrite.

Best practices for Livestream:

  • In advance of the event date, we recommend individual users go to livestream.com and test playback of any event currently streaming through the platform.  This allows the individual to determine if their own unique firewall settings prevent video streaming.  Any questions resulting from this test should be directed to the individual’s own IT support.
  • For the strongest internet connection, we recommend using a wired Ethernet connection rather than wifi. This allows for smoother streaming.
  • Livestream automatically chooses between low, medium, and HD quality bandwith based on the strength of your connection. If you experience buffering, you can also lower your bandwith manually on the player.
  • You can test your connection speed using:   http://www.speedtest.net/ (This allows you to gauge if your connection is unusually slow prior to an event. If the test does show poor results, please contact your own IT to advise).

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?
We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY CREDIT CARD WAS DECLINED OR DIDN’T GO THROUGH?
First, please be sure that you entered your credit card number, your name, and billing address correctly. In many cases, the decline is a result of the credit card being used not matching up with the billing information provided. If you feel that you have entered your credit card information accurately, and are still having trouble, we recommend contacting your financial institution. If you still continue to have difficulties, contact us at support@mediasourceinc.com and put “SLJ Day of Dialog” in the subject line.

MAY I BE BILLED WITH AN INVOICE or PO?
No. We are not accepting requests for payment by invoice or PO for Livestream access purchases.

HOW CAN I GET A COPY OF THE RECEIPT FOR MY PURCHASE?
Proof of purchase was emailed to your provided address immediately upon registration. This email came from our event registration platform, EventBrite. Please check your spam filters, and junk mail, for messages that may have been blocked from this address.

HOW CAN I REGISTER MULTIPLE PEOPLE FROM MY ORGANIZATION?
You may register multiple people by increasing the quantity of tickets in the shopping cart. Please fill out the information of the individuals who will be attending after clicking the “Order Now” button. There will be fields with “Ticket 1,” “Ticket 2,” and so on. Please fill out all the appropriate information.

MAY I CANCEL MY ORDER AND WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
Cancellations and Substitutions
Livestream access purchases are non-refundable. You may only transfer your access purchase to another person. Please indicate the name, title, and email of the person who will be replacing the original registrant and notify us via email at sljevents@mediasourceinc.com.

NOTE: The sponsors and management of Day of Dialog reserve the right to make necessary changes in this program. Every effort will be made to keep presentations and speakers as represented. However, unforeseen circumstances may result in substitution of a presentation topic and/or speaker. Neither School Library Journal nor any sponsor assumes any liability for the acts of their suppliers or for the safety of any Day of Dialog participants while in transit to or from this event. The total liability during the precise hours of the meeting will be limited to a refund of the delegate fee.
