Thanks for pointing that out – you are correct that babies and toddlers love to look at real photographs!
I’m glad you enjoyed the other selections on the list. It is certainly not an exclusive list, but rather a solid starting point.

Oh yes, real pictures – very important! Babies, love seeing other babies just like them. Star Bright Books publishes quite a few books that feature real babies… and we do so in 20 languages! How about: My Face Book, Carry Me, Eating the Rainbow, Where Does it Go? Babies On The Go, Loving Me or Cradle Me (features 13 different Native American babies in their cradle boards)!

This is a great list. I did notice there were not any books listed with photographs in them, just books with illustrations. A few years ago I would not have thought anything about this. However I work in a public library and one of the mom’s who borrows a lot of books pointed out that we should have board books with photographs in them. I have since added a few to our collection and am mindful for such books. So may I suggest books like Global Babies, Who’s Hiding? at the Beach and Big Yellow Trucks and Diggers?
