NHD is huge here in Minnesota--I took part twice while I was in high school, and I've since judged at the regional and state level a number of times. It's always interesting to see what topics the kids choose, and the research process is an invaluable experience that translates very well to other projects as well as college and beyond. I will never forget having the opportunity to interview two women who were part of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) during WWII. It never would have happened had it not been for my NHD project! Marc, I couldn’t agree more!
