Encourage your students to harness their creative energies, follow their interests and passions, and put their 21st-century skills to good use. That’s exactly what a contest for K–12 students from ThingLink and Rosen
Digital aims to do. Thanks to the new contest, kids have an opportunity to create interactive ThingLink images, connect multiple resources into a cohesive presentation, and share their projects with a large community. And even better, they can win an iPad Mini or an annual subscription to one of Rosen Digital’s online databases.
ThingLink allows users to embed interactive content into images, such as maps and photographs, to add greater depth to subject knowledge. For example, students working on a Civil War unit could use ThingLink to enhance a map of battle sites with photographs from the era, recordings of campground songs, and video of the last surviving Confederate soldier.
All K–12 students are eligible to enter—and teachers and parents may enter an image on a student’s behalf. Images may be submitted through May 1, 2013. Winners will be announced on May 15. To find out more about the contest, visit ThingLinkContest.com.
