This Friday, SLJ held its first leadership event dedicated to those working in children’s services in public libraries. Held at the Schwarzman branch of the New York Public Library, the conference gave librarians and their directors the opportunity to engage with one another on a variety of topics in small break-out sessions. The Think Tank also featured a keynote speech from Pam Sandlian-Smith, whose Anythink Library is breaking new ground in Colorado, a panel of public librarians discussing their strategies for collaboration, and a closing speech from author Matt de la Peña.
