Want a Free DVD of Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln’ for Your School? Here’s How to Get It

lincoln 202x300 Want a Free DVD of Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln’ for Your School? Here’s How to Get ItFollowing Participant Media’s announcement in February that it would, together with DreamWorks Pictures and Fox/Newscorp, donate DVDs of Steven Spielberg’s critically acclaimed film Lincoln to all middle and high schools, both public and private, throughout the United States, a number of librarians have contacted SLJ for follow-up information. Here’s how to get your copy.

Distribution for this special edition of the DVD—which includes an Educator’s Guide and lesson plans, and is not available for purchase to the general public—is being handled by Disney Educational Productions (DEP). The company also has created an online learning hub for the film with interactive learning activities. DEP advises educators to visit its retail site, add the item to your cart, and at checkout enter the coupon code that should have been provided to your school’s principal via email in recent weeks.

If your school did not receive a coupon code or your code was lost, DEP advises that you contact its customer service department via (800) 295-5010 or dep@edumedia.com.

The offer’s terms and conditions stipulate that there is a limit to one complimentary DVD copy per school, and the offer expires at midnight Pacific Daylight Time on June 30, 2013.
