Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group has announced the launch of Swoon Reads, a revolutionary crowd-sourced romance imprint dedicated to publishing books that capture the intensity and excitement of teen love. Starting in 2014, Swoon Reads will publish 6 to 12 novels a year as an imprint of Feiwel and Friends.
The imprint will open its website for submissions in spring 2013, creating a community in which writers can submit their manuscripts directly to Feiwel and Friends, and readers can become closely involved with the publishing process by reading, rating, and commenting on the submissions. The manuscripts that are rated highest by online readers and Swoon’s editorial team will be published in both print and ebook formats.
